
PETALING JAYA: A sundry shop worker in his 20s was injured after being slashed with a sword during a robbery in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, on Monday night.
Baling police chief Brandon Richard Joe said four suspects wearing helmets, face masks, jackets, and gloves entered the store around 8.45pm on Monday after arriving in a white Perodua Bezza.
“During the robbery, one of the suspects brandished a sword and slashed the victim, causing injuries to his back. The suspects then fled the scene with cash belonging to the victim,” he said, according to Berita Harian.
Brandon said the victim received treatment at Baling Hospital.
The case is being investigated for intentionally causing injury while committing robbery.
