KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim will undergo follow-up treatment for the musculoskeletal pain affecting his back and hip, Istana Negara said today.

In a statement, the palace said Sultan Ibrahim had been advised by medical specialists to rest ahead of the treatment to facilitate the recovery process.

“As a result, His Majesty is unable to attend the Warriors’ Day Parade ceremony at Dataran Pahlawan Negara, Putrajaya, today,” it said.

The Warriors’ Day Parade, held this morning, was attended by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Also present were home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, defence minister Khaled Nordin, Chief of Defence Force Malek Razak Sulaiman, and Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail.
