PETALING JAYA: Police have found no criminal elements in the case of a 13-year-old boy who fell from a building at a secondary school in Ipoh on June 22.

Perak police chief Alwi Zainal Abidin said investigations found that the incident resulted from the boy’s own negligence, causing serious injuries to him.

The boy is now in stable condition in hospital after regaining consciousness, Sinar Harian reported.

Alwi said the teen was believed to have gone to the building’s third floor, from where he fell.

He said five people gave their statements, including the victim’s friends and teachers at the school.
