PETALING JAYA: PKR has appointed Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Dr Zaliha Mustafa as party vice-presidents, as it gears up for state elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.
PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil said the appointments were made at the party’s political bureau and central leadership council monthly meeting in Batu Pahat, Johor, on Saturday.
“This is to strengthen and streamline the party’s organisation and operations at the central level,” he said in a statement today.
Saifuddin was previously PKR secretary-general, while Zaliha is currently Johor PKR chairman.
Fahmi also said that PKR has postponed its party congress to August to allow its Johor and Negeri Sembilan divisions to focus on election preparations.
