PETALING JAYA: Taylor’s University confirmed that its Subang Jaya campus was evacuated following a bomb threat earlier today, which police have since cleared after conducting a security sweep.
“Taylor’s Lakeside campus is safe, and normal operations may resume,” it said in a statement.
The university thanked students, staff, visitors, emergency responders, and authorities for their cooperation, swift response, and professionalism.
“We encourage the public to rely only on official updates issued by the institution and the relevant authorities,” it said.
This morning, a spokesman for the private higher education institution said the campus was evacuated because of a “security incident”.
The bomb hoax at Taylor’s University comes a day after the Monash University campus in Subang Jaya was evacuated following a similar threat.
Monash University closed its campus for about five hours for a police sweep of the area before police confirmed that the campus could safely resume operations today.
