KUALA TERENGGANU: A seven-year-old autistic girl died after falling from the 13th floor of the Ladang Tok Pelam Apartments, near here, today.
Kuala Terengganu police chief Azli Mohd Noor said police received a call at about 7.50am about a girl lying in an open area on the sixth floor, believed to have fallen from a 13th-floor window.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer from Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah,” he said in a statement.
He said a post-mortem report revealed the cause of death as severe blunt force injuries from a fall, and no foul play was suspected.
Azli said the investigation showed that the victim’s family had rented a homestay unit to attend an entrepreneurship seminar at Yayasan Pembangunan Usahawan.
