PETALING JAYA: The developer of Forest City in Johor said it is ready to cooperate fully with authorities in their investigation into claims that Israeli nationals took part in activities at a private residential community there.

Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd said it takes the issue seriously and supports the Johor government’s stance against allowing the state to be used as a base for illegal activities that undermine national sovereignty.

“Forest City is committed to submitting all required documents to facilitate the investigation and expedite thorough, accurate and effective fact-finding,” Bernama reported the developer as saying today.

Yesterday, the home ministry launched an investigation into the Network School, following Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi’s call for a federal investigation into allegations that Israeli nationals took part in the private residential community’s programme.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also said today the government would immediately deport any Israeli national found in Malaysia, as Malaysia does not recognise Tel Aviv.
